Make Ups and Break Ups of 2009

It’s been a turbulent year of love. Hearts have been broken and mended in record time and  we rounded up a list of notable make ups and break ups this year. We begin with Rihanna and her now ex-Chris Brown and their break up last February. Here they are in happier times performing together at the Jingle Ball.

Rihanna graces the cover of January’s GQ Magazine. Clearly Rihanna’s broken heart has mended and ringing in a new year in 2010 is just what this gal deserves.

She’s America’s sweetheart and he’s the musician with a penchant for funny youtube videos. We were rooting for Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer when they arrived at the 2009 Oscars hand in hand. A string of break ups later and now John Mayer just announced on Ellen Degeneres that dating in general right now has got him a little freaked out. Maybe he’s just not that into yoou Jen!

Lightening strikes again for Kate Hudson. The blonde beauty may have helped the Yankees win the World Series with her lucky charms but now that her romance with A-Rod is kaput, who will help the team now? Minka Kelly, calling Minka Kelly.

We didn’t think that the boy wonder of golf could do wrong, but clearly something was amiss when Tiger wood’s Cadillac Escalade careened into a tree in the wee hours. When Tiger failed to show his face to the media circus that quickly turned into what TMZ coined as TNN, America began to scratch their heads. People also began to lose count of all the women surfacing who were claiming they had been intimate with the Tiger. Now that Tiger has decided to take a break from golfing and what seems like a normal life amongst humans, we wonder what he will do next.

We think it’s time to go on Oprah or Dianne Sawyer and tell your side of the story Tiger, before any more of those juicy endorsements drop by the wayside.

Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush took a break after juggling a long distance relationship, but the reality star and her New Orleans Saints star are back together after realizing two is better than one.

Are they or aren’t they? Together that is…rumors have been swirling about Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal breaking up. When reports broke on People.com, their handlers quickly denied the break up rumors.  New rumors recently surfaced that Jake wants to marry but Reese is a little gun shy about pulling that trigger again.

Eddie Cibriani and LeAnn Rimes met on the set of a Lifetime movie and broke up their marriages to be with one another. Once a cheater always a cheater? Hmmm….

We loved Jon and Kate together, but we also know that all good things have to come to an end. This TLC-couple and their messy break up which ended in divorce this year became a nasty reality for both. And of course we all know who didn’t benefit from a John Hardy makeover.

We thought that after five long years of emotional and verbal abuse, Audrina Patridge would finally get rid of Justin Bobbby once and for all. Especially after his nasty behavior on The Hill’s this season when he walked all over Audrina for Kristen Cavalleri. We love you Audrina, but will you ever learn?

Oh Justin Bobby, how we will miss you and your hats, your Members Only Jackets and your ability to sometimes look like a homeless person.

Levi Johnston was just a kid that impregnated an Alaskan teen with a very  famous mom. Now that Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston our history he can move on to more important things like posing for Playgirl.

Our favorite look is a pair of black leggings and knee-high boots. Nicole Kidman pulls off this look flawlessly and adds a pop of color with a red Prada bag.

We adore the way Jennifer Aniston always looks pulled together, with or without arm candy. Her thrown together look here includes a leather Burberry jacket and bag by Ferragamo along with a great pair of aviator shades. This is how you layer the right way.

Jessica Alba has the uncanny ability to look anything but frumpy, even while Christmas tree shopping this past Saturday. Slouchy boots pair nicely with her ripped jeans and chunky sweater ensemble.

Who says you can’t wear white after Labor Day? Leighton Meester attends the Jingle  Ball concert  in LA on Saturday (where she later performed). Leighton looking stunning on the red carpet wearing a dress by Cushnie et Ochs.

And of course where there is one Gossip Girl means another is not far away. Blake Lively is pretty as a picture here in Celine. Who doesn’t love an oversized bag for every day?

Gossip Girl #3! Jessica Stroup  at Variety’s 3rd annual “Power of Youth” event at Paramount Studios looks pretty as a picture in casual jeans and boots with a western-style shirt. Too casual for the red carpet? Perhaps…

New Moon’s Kristen Reed rocks sequins on the red carpet and pairs it with a tuxedo-style jacket.

Young Hollywood…love in the trenches

To be part of young Hollywood royalty often means trading in proms and nights at the mall for long days on film sets far from the classroom. These tween stars may walk more red carpets than homecoming dances but it doesn’t mean they can’t  find time for a little romance.

T & T, or Taylor Swift and Taylour Lautner, met while shooting Valentine’s Day. Swift use to date a Jonas Brother while Lautner use to date Selena Gomez. We’ve caught them hanging out a few times and speculation about their budding romance was even worked into one of Swift’s musical skits on SNL.

Hottest woman on the planet Megan Fox met  90’s teen star Brian Austin Green in 2004. The two have been on again/off again since quietly ending their engagement last February.

We’re guessing it is probably hard to date the hottest woman in the world. Especially if  you’re possibly the most uninteresting man in the world.

Tweens Demi Lovato & Joe Jonas are a Disney dream come true. The two met while filming Camp Rock and have been hanging out more and more. With some parental units present of course.

She heats up the CW’s 90210 and he’s part of the Twilight on the Team Edward side. AnnaLynn Cord & Kellan Lutz have been breaking up and making up since 2008.

Before Twilight & Gossip Girl, these two met while hitting the books in college.

Twilight star Ashley Greene and Gossip Girl hottie Chace Crawford have known each other for quite some time. But apparently old habits are hard to break.

Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron are one of our favorite pretty Disney couples. We can’t help but love them. And we have never watched HSM.

We have a confession to make. We don’t watch Gossip Girl for the intriguing storylines. We watch it for the fabulous clothes that Blake Lively gets to drape across her fab body and for her off-screen love Penn Badgley.
