People to Watch in 2010

The Eye Candy Cast from The Vampire Diaries

With a whole new crop of talent oozing out of your tv and on the big screen, celebgawking had a slew of  favorite “ones to watch” this year. Here’s a list of the people who caught our eye and who we’re hoping to see more of  in 2010.

Long before her role as Bella’s best friend Jessica on Twilight, Anna Kendrick was making waves on  the stage and screen. She is the second youngest person nominated for a Tony Award (for her role in High Society) and has recently received 8 nominations for best supporting actress for her role in alongside George Clooney in Up in the Air.

Reprising the Role of Captain James Kirk in the JJ Abram’s remake of Star Trek is no easy feat. But Chris Pines took our breath away.

Pine’s is rumored to be the next Jack Ryan in a Tom Clancy novel turned movie.

Everything vampires was pretty much a hit this year and The Vampire Diaries is no different. Tongues went a waggin’ for the handsome and brooding vampire, Stefan Salvatore, played by Paul Wesley.

She plays cooler-than-thou teenager  on Showtime’s  Californication. We love Madeleine Martin, who plays Hank Moody’s quirky and inquisitive daughter.

True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgard is rightly so, the baddest vampire in the town of Bon Temps. The Swedish actor has some movies slated for release and we are hoping he gets an even bigger role in the True Blood series.

The cast of Glee took us by surprise with their campy songs and fun little dance routines. The one-hour musical comedy is a nice departure from American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance.

When you get to star opposite Johnny Depp and work under Tim Burton, you’re definitely on the right track. Mia Wasikowska will play Alice in the 3D remake of Alice in Wonderland and we can’t wait to see where the rabbit hole will take her.
