Anne Hathaway dazzles at the 83rd Academy Awards

In fashion, Film, Red Carpets, Starlets, Young Hollywood on February 28, 2011 at 1:02 am

Anne Hathaway was stunning at the red carpet at the 83rd Academy Awards. She  was handing out Oscars left and right with co-host James Franco and rumor had it she had up to 10 outfit changes. It ended up being 8 total and we loved most of them. Either way no one wears couture like Anne Hathaway and we wanted to show you some of her amazing looks.

We are loving this red Valentino gown that Anne chose to walk the red carpet at the Kodak Theatre.

Here she is in an elegant Atelier Versace number in maroon/burgundy.

Because we have a deep love for anything blue, this sapphire Giorgio Armani was one of our favorites of the evening.

The Vivienne Westwood was a little bit over the top, but still a gorgeous creation all the same.

We thought the shimmy shimmy coco-pop feel of the Oscar de la Renta was fun and very age-appropriate for Anne.

We heart Givenchy but the princess theme on Anne is not. This haute couture strapless number is pretty but we always love color over cream.

Elegance prevailed when Anne closed the show in a dazzling Tom Ford, slinky and sexy.

Pink and all of it’s various shades was a big hit on the red carpet last night at the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards. We decided to highlight some of the glamorous looks that caught our eye. Claire Danes was a vision in this hot pink halter gown by Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein.

Emma Stone knocked it out of the park with her blonde locks and this soft pink creating by Calvin Klein .

Glee’s Naya Rivera was trex elegant in this strapless number by Douglas Hannant.

We said it earlier but we will say it again. Anne Hathaway was just breathtaking in her sequined Armani number.

We just thought we’d give you a look from the front…..

Glee’s Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta was old Hollywood glam.

And we can’t forget our Julianne Moore who was wearing a hot pink over the shoulder gown by Lanvin.

The magic begins with the red carpet at the 68th Annual Golden Globes at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday January 16th. Let’s take a look at a few of our favorites so far tonight. First up… Olivia Wilde wearing an over the top gown by Marchesa.

Our favorite Ghost Whisperer

Jennifer Love Hewitt looking very happy with boyfriend Alex Beh on her arm.

Anne Hathaway takes our breath away in this sequined Armani gown.

The biggest tween star in the world looked Bieberlicious in his tuxedo. He doesn;t even have a movie out but Justin Bieber is rocking the red carpet regardless.

Nobody can do pretty in pink better! Glee’s Lea Michele looking pinklicious in a gown by Oscar de la Renta.

Angelina Jolie wearing an emerald green gown by Versace. Can you believe she is up for a Golden Globe in comdey???

Valentine’s Day World Premiere

In fashion, Film, Red Carpets, Starlets, Young Hollywood on February 10, 2010 at 12:02 am

If Celebgawking died and went to heaven, the cast of the highly anticipated film Valentine’s Day , would be waiting at the gates. A world première at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood brought the entire star-studded cast together for one unforgettable red carpet.

Director Garry Marshall somehow managed to get a who’s who list of Hollywood A-listers to play a role in this all ages comedy about love in trenches of Los Angeles. Last night the ensemble cast strolled down a pink and red carpet adorned with roses and screaming fans.

Here’s a look of which celebs arrived solo and who came with their other half. They all, of course,  looked fabulous. We can’t wait for the rumored sequel which will also focus on love but set around another hyped-up holiday-New Year’s Eve.

We’d like to quote Rachel Zoe for a moment. “We Die” for this short blue Marchesa that Anne Hathaway chose to wear. OK! Magazine reports that Anne told reporters when asked about her Valentine’s Day plans the actress said “I am going to go to  a wedding for a friend and then I am going to spend the rest of the day cooking for the people that I love.”

Love, love, love this peacock-inspired Proenza Schouler Spring 2010 dress Jessica Alba is wearing. But of course, what don’t we love about Jessica Alba? Here she rocks a cute, short bob with her hubby Cash Warren.

One word-gorgeous!

Taylor Lautner is inescapable. The tween heart throb is everywhere! Including this movie which is where he met Taylor Swift.

Only the very lovely Jennifer Garner, who looks super svelte these days, gets a pre-fall 2010 dress by Valentino. Where was hubby Ben Affleck? Shooting a movie but Jennifer is a woman who can rock it without her man candy.

Jessica Biel goes for long and flowy in a soft-hued Oscar de la Renta.

Umm, ok-who cares what Bradley Cooper is wearing? He’d be hot with a paper bag over his head! He also came without his girlfriend Renee Zellwegger.

Keeping it in the family. At least that’s what Julia Roberts and Emma Roberts managed to do by escorting each other down the red carpet. Both superstars are in the film which lends new meaning to the word multi-generational. Julia told E! Entertainment reporters that every night day was Valentine’s Day in her house.

Ashton Kutcher & wife Demi Moore are a picture perfect Hollywood couple.

Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art

In Uncategorized on May 5, 2009 at 2:47 am

The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion was the theme of the Costume Institute Gala at the MET this year. The model mania began with Kate Moss, a co-host to year,  who arrived on the arm of Marc Jacobs. As one of the most glamourous and highly anticipated fashion events of the year, this is a red carpet is harder to navigate than Anna Wintour’s blackberry. This year Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Kate Bosworth, Madonna and Victoria Beckham were just a handful of hopefuls to get entry into the super glam party that kicks off the Costume Institute’s Goddess exhibit. . So who got the worst and best dressed awards last night? See for yourelf. Here’s a few looks that caught our eye for your viewing pleasure.

Justin Timberlake wore a William Rast suit (ahem and some glasses ?) while his gal Jessica Biel wore red Versace.

20090504_metgala_heidiklum Heidi Klum in J. Mendel with designer Gilles Mendel

In The Devila Wears Prada it was  Meryl Streep, but in real life it’s Anna Wintour. Here she is in the flesh wearing Chanel Couture.

A little disappointed in this ensemble on Karolina Kurkova wearing a dress by Richard Chai. If anyone has a body to flaunt a unique and interesting dress it’s this gal.

victoriabeckham Victoria Beckham, a vision of heavy tanning and in polka dots by Louis Vuitton.

It’s Leonardo DiCaprio’s girl, Bar Refaeli in Marchesa. We love Marchesa. We like this dress. We like it alot. evamendes

Breathtaking. Stunning. Gorgeous. The always pretty Eva Mendes in Calvin Klein, with Francisco Costa.

Our favorite newlyweds Tom Brady & Gisele Bundchen looking utterly gorgeous in Versace in our favorite color…blue!

madonna Bizarre, weird, random. Call it what you will, we have to give Madonna points for originality wearing this interesting choice by Louis Vuitton.

Really Kate, when are you going to do another movie? Kate Bosworth playing it safe  in Stella McCartney.

Elizabeth Hurley looked like a true member of royalty in Elie Saab Couture.

Anne Hathaway attends "The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion" Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 4, 2009 in New York City.

Anne Hathaway looking fierce in Marc Jacobs. We are liking the purple.

rachelweizRachel Weisz we love you but not as much in this Vera Wang dress.

leightonmeester Leighton Meester in an outfit we will never forget. And you will never see on Gossip Girls.

rihanna_topRihanna made quite an appearance while doing the stylish-male look in her girl-friendly tux.

It’s a Stella McCartney ad dying to happen: Kate Hudson, Stella McCartney, Liv Tyler, Kate Bosworth weairing who else? Stella McCartney.

Diane Kruger looking prim and proper in Chanel.

Ashley Olsen draped in Christian Lacroix.

Her sis, Mary Kate Olsen, wore a very different dress by the same designer.

Fashion icons as far as we’re concerned: Donatella & Cindy, no last names needed….

Kanye West doing the James Bond pose with his girlfriend on the red carpet.

The Creative Coalition Ball in Washington, DC

Anne Hathaway stunning in Dior Picture by EOnline.com

Oscar Nominee Anne Hathaway stunning in Dior thank you JustJared.com for the great pic

It was a mayhem for the Creative Coalition Gala red carpet on Tuesday night at The Harman Center for the Arts in Washington, DC. Anne Hathaway showed up first on the red carpet, a vision in a red, floor length Dior gown, escorted by her father Gerald. Oscar nominee Marisa Tomei swept by in an adorable in a very structured, black,  off the shoulder dress by Giambattista Valli.  Kerry Washington wore a deep cut blue dress that simply sparkled. Celebgawking apologizes and wished they could interview and take pictures at the same time but alas, that deemed way to difficult. Press from Glamour Magazine to OK! and of course the Washington Post were  all clamoring to get the best quotes. Matthew Modine told us a new mini-facelift trick was smiling and Susan Sarandon told us she thought Michelle Obama had great style. Below are some news agency pics and a few shots celebgawking took as the celebs strolled down the carpet before heading inside for a performance by Sting.

Kerry Washington arrived late but still looked sparkly in various shades of blue. The photogs went crazy when she took off her coat for pictures. Friday Night Lights Connie Britton, and one of the sweetest girls to interview, sparkled in this gold, floor length stunner by Italian designer Ginami. The evening before at the VIP Creative Coalition Dinner Britton told celebgawking this is her first Inaugural Ball and was very excited to be a part of the festivities.

Despite the freezing cold temperatures Kerry Washington still managed to look hot

There were several hush-hush after parties and celebgawking observed some serious canoodling and fun. But a strict no cameras allowed policy kept us from getting it on film, so you’ll just have to take our word for it.

VH1 Critic’s Choice Awards

Brangelina...could they be anymore beautiful?

Brangelina...could they be anymore beautiful?

The celebs were out again for the VH1 Critic’s Choice Awards in Santa Monica Thursday night. There were several well dressed lads and ladies on the red carpet, which perhaps served as a great rehearsal for Sunday night’s Golden Globes. Some of my favorites are below. I adored Penelope Cruz in a royal blue stunner by Yves Saint Laurent and Anne Hathaway was super cute in Gianfranco Ferre’. If I had gobs and gobs of money I would buy the following dresses and covet them as my own. I would also buy Brad Pitt.

Penelope Cruz is absolutely stunning in Yves Saint Laurent
