 Model turned actor Tyson Beckford recently expressed his dismay to MSNBC  about celebs taking coveted jobs from supermodels. The “Make Me A Supermodel” host on Bravo feels that celebs should stick to being actors and actresses and let the models do what they do..pose. Sorry Tyson, not everyone can be a model-turned actors like you. And let’s face it, celebs sell more magazines. Everyone gets airbrushed regardless of whether their thighs are pin thin or not (ahem…Kim Kadashian) and many A-list celebs getting those covers are both talented and very easy on the eyes. Here’s a few covers we thought you’d might like to peruse for your visual pleasure.

We don’t know but we do know this. Lindsay is still gorgeous, we still think she’s talented and we hope that one day the Lindsay we love will return.

LA Fashion Week & Celeb-inspired trends for Spring

There’s Paris, there’s Milan and of course who can forget the tents at Bryant Park in New York City? But what about L.A. Fashion Week?  Many disregard L.A .Fashion Week altogether and some wonder if it’s slowly fading. L.A. Fashion Week may not have the heavy hitters like Anna Wintour but it does bring out a gaggle of glitz and glamour from the celebs who know a thing or two about cleaning up nicely. Even in a recession, Hollywood managed to pull out all the stops this year with an eco-fashion event and an evening of 20th Century Glamour at MOCA. The end of fashion week also marks the beginning of new celeb-inspired looks. Here’s a few iconic style-charged favorites from prim and proper to provocative.

Long and flowy is also a signature of LC’s collection and as we see above, one of Lauren’s favorites. We hope her line comes back!

Couples We Love to Hate

They’re rich, famous and drop dead gorgeous. They make you sick but you can’t help but fall in love with them, or at least the image of them plastered on the cover of People or on the Hot Hollywood “It” List on E! They’re the couples we love to hate. And yet they have managed to find love in the deep trenches of the Hollywood dating pool where everyone dates each other.  Some couples last longer than expected but usually end just as quickly as they began. Of course there’s the relationships we thought would never crack under the lens of La La land. We were shocked when America’s sweetheart Meg Ryan left Dennis Quaid. We stoppped believing in miracles when Tom Cruise left Nicole Kidman and the term “you’ve been cruised” was invented. We wept for Jennifer Aniston after reading about her controversial divorce in Vanity Fair.  And let’s not even get into Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe. Yet with all these failed Hollywood unions, we at celebgawking refuse to be jaded.  The beautiful people will still love the idea of falling in love with other beautiful people.  Jessica Alba and her hubby Cash Warren are one of our favorites and on the top of our  ridiculously good looking  list. Here’s a few other couples we have absolutely fallen in love with.

The story of this Hollywood love triangle is right out of  a Jackie Collins  novel. Star athlete (Tom Brady) breaks up with actress (Bridget Moynihan) after a three year courtship. All-American athlete starts dating the richest supermodel in the world (Gisele Bunchden) only to find out his ex is soon to be his babies mama. But love does conquer all as Tom Brady and Gisele Bunchden proved when they recently tied the knot in a small ceremony in Santa Monica.

Just because Zac Efron just did a steamy photshoot  with a woman who wasn’t his real life girlfriend doesn’t mean their over, just that Zac is ready to be free from his young man persona! Zac Efron + Vanessa Hudgens = very adorable. These new kids on the block have killer looks and killer bank accounts and neither is over the age of 25! Yes, life is not fair.

They are castmates on Gossip Girl  and off screen they know how to rock a poolside cabana. Their characters on tv may have broken up and moved on to new love interests but in real life Blake Lively and Penn Badgley  are still tight. They also have very cool names.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are royalty in Hollywood relationships

First there was Bennifer I but Celebgawking is a much bigger fan of Bennifer II. We all know the media frenzy surrounding Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez and to this day we still don’t understand how those two ended shacking up. Meanwhile Jennifer Garner married and divorced fellow Felicity actor Scott Foley only to quietly begin dating her Alias co-star Michael Vartan (we have seen him in person and yes he is that hot). The low key courtship between Affleck and Garner resulted in a mammoth size diamond from Harry Winston, two fab kids and a Affleck’s directorial debut for Gone Baby Gone.

She was the Princess Bride and he’s the chain smoking guy with a chip on his shoulder that has crawled through the trenches of Hollywood. After 11 years of marriage Robin Wright Penn & Sean Penn almost called it quits.  With a divorce looming in the future, Penn brought a very well-known model as his date to last year’s Oscars. But this year not only did Sean Penn bring home an Oscar for Best Actor in his performance of Milk, but had his stunning wife by his side. He didn’t mention her in his acceptance speech but Robin didn’t seem to care. We guess that’s Sean just being Sean.

Reese Witherspoon & Jake Gyllenhaal are so damn cute

Reese Witherspoon  understands the saying “love hurts” pretty well. We all know about the father of her two children and the supposed rumors about his infidelity with his  Stop-Loss co-star.  But then she met Jake Gyllenhaal and suddenly her world turned into puppies and fields full of posies. The couple are constantly photographed holding hands looking like a Hallmark greeting card waiting to happen.

We’ve seen these two in person at a restaurant in Brentwood and they look just as incredibly hip and happy in person as they do on the pages of INtouch Weekly. Seriously. Josh Duhamel and Fergie claim that their normality is what keeps them grounded as a couple.

Sarah Jessica Parker & Matthew Broderick

Sarah Jessica Parker and Christopher Broderick are the pair we’d most like to have as next door neighbors.  We’d also kill to see the inside of SJP’s closet.

Rachel McAdams & Josh Lucas

We thought Rachel McAdams & Ryan Gosling  would find a way to work things out but apparently Josh Lucas  killed that opportunity. But can we blame her? The two have been spotted everywhere from Washington, D.C. making out during the Inaugural festivities to hanging out in Toronto, Canada.

Brangelina, need we say more?

Yes, we are tired of Angelina Jolie & Bradd Pitt too, but they have all the criteria. Lots of money-check. Gorgeous-check. Enough children to make up their own united nations-double check. Dual Oscar nods in 2009-check. It will be interesting how long these two last.

Lauren Conrad leaving The Hills

A bitterseet goodbye to LC

The end of an era all wrapped up in a book deal…..

A few weeks ago, Celebgawking was anxiously anticipating March 30th. What is this you ask? This is the day when season five of  The Hills returns.  Something about seeing the visual skyline of Los Angeles with an MTV-driven sountrack crooning in the background and shots of Lauren Conrad galavanting around hotspots like Les Deux and driving down Melrose in her black, convertible BMW was almost, well, comforting.  Each espisode created new undying questions that had to be answered. How many Chanel bags can LC have in one episode? What skintight ensemble will Heidi don today? What fab outfit will Whitney Port and LC be wearing while slaving away at their People’s Revolution gigs? But the real reason that The Hills is great is because of Lauren Conrad. Sure, we love the dizzying cinematography and aerial shots of the Hollywood Hills and the does of cat-fight drama  provided in every episode.  But Lauren Conrad is the girl we are always rooting for. Much like Carrie in Sex and the City, Lauren’s wanderlust hope for tried and true friends, a great job and the man of her dreams is what we’ve watched her search for day in and day out. But alas, a bittersweet ending to our favorite reality gal has come to an end. Season five will be a final  farewell for LC. Here’s a salute to some of our favorite Lauren Conrad looks.  Oh and one more thing to look forward to-her new book, LA. Candy, is due in June.
